Awesomenauts almost didn’t see the light of day at the last minute due to some financial problems with its publisher DTP Entertainment. Thank goodness that didn’t happen, or we would be missing out on one of the most unique multiplayer games available on XBLA or PSN.
I’m not going to sugarcoat this review—Ninja Gaiden 3 is a bad game. Borderline awful, even. There’s no amount of DLC, no number of patches, and absolutely zero justification pronounceable in human tongue by any sentient being that could somehow make Team Ninja‘s latest “effort” even remotely okay. After two incredibly brutal games, Team Ninja [...]
Ten years ago, Sundance DiGiovanni and Mike Sepso founded Major League Gaming, a professional electronic sports organisation headquartered in New York that sought to elevate videogames tournaments to viable competitive and spectator events. In the last decade its Pro Circuit has hosted and broadcast countless national and international championships, awarding victors with monetary prizes exceeding [...]
In today’s online gaming world the use of headsets and mics have become a crucial necessity. The ability to audibly link an entire group of individuals together for seamless strategizing, smack talking or general conversation has only become possible due to the near ubiquitous prevalence of headsets in the homes of multiplayer gamers everywhere. I can’t [...]
I didn’t expect a whole lot from Unbounded as the last couple of Ridge Racer titles left me with a bad impression. The most recent disappointment was Ridge Racer for the PS Vita. The game felt incomplete and lacked of content, which really damaged the series for me. However, upon playing Unbounded for the Playstation [...]
Konami backtracks to two of their most beloved releases which brings long time fanatics back to the good old days and introduces new comers to a very peculiar style of gaming. While the enhancements are clear (although not all successful), the overall feel of the game is a nostalgic approach to what the horror genre was all about [...]
The Legend of Dead Kel launches as Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning’s first significant piece of downloadable content. While not nearly an expansion pack, this hefty piece of content is sure to please gamers looking to get out of the dense forested areas that’s so common in the core game.
The Tiger Woods PGA Tour series has been very similar from year to year adding small features here and there to an already solid gameplay experience. This year introduces Total Swing Control which is being touted as the “most significant leap forward in swing mechanics in over a decade”. Will this revamped gameplay mechanic make [...]
Developed by FROM Software, Armored Core V is the latest entry in this venerable 15 year-old mech combat franchise. How does it hold up against previous titles in the series and the increasingly crowded multiplayer landscape? Pretty damn well, actually.
I have played through many Naruto titles in the past, but none of them have really grabbed my attention until Cyberconnect 2 started the Ninja Storm Series. The gameplay, visuals, and even the story all made it feel as if I was actually reliving the whole anime series. For me, this was a huge step [...]
